Video Captures Harford Volunteer Rescue After Car Crashes Into Susquehanna River

On Sunday afternoon at the Tydings Park Marina in Havre de Grace, Maryland, a video team was capturing footage of Susquehanna Hose Company’s rescue / dive boat performing a mock rescue. The filming is part of a recruitment and public awareness initiative with the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association (HCVFA), and was happening across Harford County throughout the weekend. When Marine 5 was making its way back to dock with a diver already suited up, a car was driven off the marina into the Susquehanna River just in front of the boat. What was a mock rescue turned into the real deal. Watch the dramatic save.
