Norrisville Volunteer Fire Company is an ALL-Volunteer organization, and is the center-point of the community, and we are always looking for new members to join us in providing emergency services. We are a family 100% of the time.
NVFC hosts several community events throughout the year, including: bingo, pit beef dinners, breakfasts, yard sales, craft fairs, and car washes. We also offer our Hall for community rental.
I remember a few years back, on Christmas Day, we were dispatched for a house fire behind our station. It was a total loss, but in a very short time the entire community, hundreds of people gathered to salvage what could be, clean up the site to have it ready for the new house, and arranged for housing for over a year. We stored tons of clothes furniture, etc. at the station, that the community donated. It truly was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I have always been proud of where I live, but that day I could not have been prouder. It was a site to behold. This is the definition of Norrisville.
